小児腎化膿性疾患の2例

Abstract

Focal suppurative infections of the kidney are unusual in children. Two patients with renal carbuncle and perirenal abscess are described in this paper. Case 1 was a 7-year-old boy with a right renal carbuncle who had undergone conservative management in vain, and subsequently received surgical treatment. Case 2 was a 13-year-old girl with a right perirenal abscess, who responded effectively to antibiotics chemotherapy. And no surgical treatment was required. Ultrasonography and CT-scan were useful tools in the monitoring of the resolution of the lesions in these cases.
