1988年奈良県立医科大学麻酔科外来に於けるペインクリニックの現況

Abstract

We conducted several treatments for 158 patinets who suffered from various persistent pains, vascular occlusive disease, facial palsy, idiopathic deafnessand and nasal allergy during 12 months (1988). The complaints of the patients were classified as follows : cancer related pain 34 (21%), post-herpetic neuralgia 24 (15%), low-back pain 24 (15%), cervical pain 20 (13%), reflex sympathetic dystrophy 6 (4%), facial pain 11 (7%), and trigeminal pain 6 (4%). As strategies for pain-relief and improving circulation, stellate ganglion block (58%), and epidural block (28.8%) were employed with local anesthetics. Moreover, thoracic and lumbar sympathetectomy by neurolytics (phenol-glycerine, pure alcohol) and thermocoagulation therapy were applied to the more severe intractable pain. Although no serious complications were observed in this survey, we suggest that these neurolytic procedures should be performed under intensive clinical supervision.
